These days, everyone is so spread out. It seems that no matter where you choose to have your wedding, all of your guests will end up traveling, so you may as well pick a new destination that you can all experience together and make some unforgettable memories in the process. We’ve found just the place! Sandy Creek Farms is located in Springville, Tennessee (just 2 hours from the Nashville airport). This lush green farm stretches across 430 acres and is so much more than just a wedding venue, it is a getaway in itself!
We’re seeing more and more couples opt for a longer wedding weekend rather than just one day. Whether you’re planning an intimate affair with just your closest family and friends or inviting everyone, Sandy Creek Farms has plenty of space for the entire crew. We recommend staying on-site with your bridal party and getting there a few days early to take in the sights and burn off those pre-wedding nerves with some fun outdoor activities. With 430 acres, there’s plenty to do, from hiking, fishing, and boating to ATV trails–but best to save the ATVs for after the wedding 😂. Their retreat package includes overnight accommodations for up to 36 guests! Plus, their team will take care of and plan your whole itinerary, so all you need to do is show up and enjoy the most memorable vacay of your life before you start your happily ever after.
“Had our wedding a few weeks ago and it was the most perfect, beautiful day ever. they are the best team and went above and beyond to ensure i was a happy bride and that the groom was happy, too, of course. also, all the venues on site are absolutely gorgeous. my guests were thoroughly impressed. for how much you get for the weekend, the price is surreal. if you’re looking for a sign to book with scf, do it!!! you won’t regret it.” – Jazzy
Now that you’ve found your venue, all that’s left to do is choose your ceremony and reception locations–and there are so many beautiful ones at Sandy Creek Farms! Here are a few of our favorites.
The Stables are rustic yet elegant–perfect for celebrations and parties of up to 350 people. The original horse stalls have been converted into dining areas and large sliding and hinged doors open up on all four sides of the building, allowing for a very comfortable flow for guests, along with ample amounts of natural light, and fresh country air.
If you really want to take advantage of the incredible natural elements on the property, then a forest ceremony is the way to go. What we love about this outdoor venue is that it has all of the beauty of Mother Nature, but the necessary modern technology to make a wedding run smoothly like picturesque post lamps and a Bluetooth speaker system. It even has a cedar arbor!
Did we mention that Sandy Creek Farms has a 20+ acre lake on property? Well, they do and it makes a lovely backdrop for a wedding. And what would a lake be without an adorable lakehouse? This unique space is great for smaller outdoor weddings of up to 60 people. And the rustic wood cabin is the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready. The lake also features their signature ceremony site, their private island. You and your guests will cross the wooden bridge and be greeted by a charming stone pavilion and perfectly landscaped surroundings including a rose garden. The island can accommodate up to 200 guests.
"If you are looking for the perfect wedding venue, then look no further. book your date quickly and know that you are in wonderful hands. we chose the island for the wedding and used the stables and pavilion for the reception. everything went better than we could have hoped, and we did not have to worry about anything. the staff worked so hard to make sure they understood our entire vision. go ahead and book it – you will be so glad you did!” – Renee
This wood and glass citrus working greenhouse houses a variety of citrus trees, including oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruit, pomelo, and avocado. It’s great for elopements, dining occasions like rehearsal dinners, or even your cocktail hour!
Dreamed up just for the purpose of hosting grand events, the pavilion can seat up to 180 guests for dining and makes the perfect reception venue. Lovely rustic architecture blends with the natural surroundings and large windows offer 360-degree views of the scenic countryside. It’s also a great backup ceremony location if you plan on an outdoor ceremony but the weather takes a turn.
You can take a virtual tour of all of these unique spaces on their website.
What we love most about Sandy Creek Farms is its versatility. Not only do they have so many different wedding packages to offer. Whether you already have your dream wedding laid out in your head or you want to leave it all up to the professionals, there’s seriously something for everyone. They also have a huge price range ($2,500-$21,500) making this a viable destination for just about any budget.
