Are you newly engaged and thinking about a Nashville affair? Because we've got the scoop on a gorgeous luxury venue less than an hour away from Music City, and it's officially stolen our hearts. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is a 13,000 sq. foot mansion that sits on 15 acres of secluded waterfront property (the lake views are all kinds of picturesque)—with lush green landscapes and an impressive repertoire of celebration spaces poised to turn your wedding visions into reality.
Reba McEntire was the original owner of the stunning estate, so IYKYK
You know how certain celebrities are just icons and treasures to their people? Well, Reba McEntire is one of Nashville’s greatest loves, which makes her former estate pretty hallowed grounds. Originally built in 1960, the stunning Southern Colonial is the sprawling property’s crown jewel, and it was reopened in 2017 as Cherokee Dock, an event venue with just as much sass, boldness and fire as the country music symbol herself.
The one-of-a-kind location has countless special spaces to get ready—the on-site bridal suite and groom’s quarters are just too good to be true— and hold your upcoming event, both indoor and out: from the Lakeside Lawn and Lakeview Event Center to the Serenity Gardens and Sunset Terrace, wherever you choose to say your ‘I dos’ and then party till the cows come home will be 🙌🙌🙌. And we reckon that saltwater pool (shaped like a guitar, because what would be more fitting?) and hot tub + a fire pit and pool house are the perfect place to stage your epic after party… but perhaps we’re just the only ones with that vision in mind ?! Nah, not possible!
The Estate at Cherokee Dock can comfortably sleep 30 people between its stunning mansion and cozy Carriage House Loft. And just outside the grand entrance of the property are the Homes at Cherokee Meadows, two four-bedroom houses that can sleep an additional 18 guests, making the venue an absolutely magical place to share your wedding weekend with your favorite people in the entire world.
How would your crew like to crash in eight bedrooms styled after country music icons (Reba, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, just to name a few)? The mansion boasts multiple indoor entertaining spaces, a home theater, wine cellar, and game room, plus separate family and formal living rooms. And the heart of the mansion is home to the Majestic Room, a large open space featuring a beautiful fireplace and ample natural light, making it the perfect space for an intimate dinner (it’s honestly where we’d expect country stars to have their birthday dinners, but we see it as a gorgeous rehearsal dinner haunt). There are also two private balconies complete with an outdoor sofa, dining tables, and lounge chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view… because why not feel like country royalty on the best weekend of your life to date!?
“Cherokee Dock was a dream come true in every way for our wedding. From the staff, to the planning, to the flexibility, to the overall care and attention devoted to our event, we could not have asked for a more perfect place. We stayed there all weekend so there was no hassle of driving back and forth to places. During the day we lounged by the pool, played games in the yard, went kayaking, etc. The place even was big enough that our whole wedding party was able to stay at the venue with us. Everything went off perfectly on the wedding day. This place knows what they are doing when it comes to weddings.” ~ Willie M.
