Confession: I am suchhh a Rachel Zoe diehard. Everything she does, everything she touches is 🔥, and she can make magic happen with a white dress whenever, wherever. So, obvi her own bridal brand would be beyond-beautiful, right? Well, last night, she launched the new 16-piece collection - aptly called ‘The Wedding Edit’ - with the help of Brides. These dresses are 🍌 and we only mean that in the most endearing way possible.
Brides got the exclusive first 👀 look last September, but now that the ready-to-wear bridal range is ready-to-buy, RZ had to show it off in a big way ((duh)). So, there was a party last night at NYC’s The Public Hotel, and you can bet it was absolutely delicious.
Guests, including celeb brides-to-be Katie Stevens (you might know her from Freeform’s The Bold Type - I remember her from MTV’s Faking It!) and Rachel Feinstein (CC HBO’s Crashing), designer colleagues, and plenty of other ‘I Do’ industry insiders - like wedding planner Jung Lee and luxe bridal atelier owner and tastemaker, Mark Ingram - were welcomed onto The Public Hotel’s private terrace and treated to an evening of total wedding wonder. Kicked off by Brides Executive Director, Lisa Gooder. And just this morning, Rachel posted about the event, mentioning how ‘magical’ the celebration was.
We got a few insider pics from the posh presentation, and it looked like it was unreal. Sidenote, the spot wasn’t just right for the romantic and ethereal looks that Rach debuted, it also let everyone who was there know how on-point it’d be for a rooftop wedding or classy bridal brunch… so if you’re a Big Apple bride-to-be, maybe don’t cross this locale off the list. ((I mean, look at how gorgeous Katie looked up on the rooftop, wearing all white like whoa))...
The collection’s overall vibe is dreamy silhouettes for the glamorous-yet-modern bride. And that’s the most perfect way to say it.
Everything is so chic and effortlessly cool, but so obviously bridal, too. Take, for example, the Violet Fil Coupe Gown. Yes, it’s got bohemian romance written all over it, but it’s also fiercely feminine. Those ruffle lapels are girly, but also so-grown-up (something that every bride can get down with on her day) 😍.
There’s also the Ava Satin-Backed Crepe Gown that has quite a few of our favorite things. Hello bateau neckline and blouson bodice, we’re contemporary and classic AF up in here. And that plunging cowl neck is all types of awe-worthy; definitely something that guests will be gushing over all day long.
But when you think glam and modern - trousers and blazers, jumpsuits, rompers, and mini dresses come to mind. And The Wedding Edit has ‘em. Rachel worn one of her own last night, which she rocked in signature RZ fashion - just a nod to how versatile / wearable and #everybride the options are. The double-breasted wrap effect mini dress has all that cool girl gimme status similarity to Sophie Turner’s red coat dress she wore to Kit Harington and Rose Leslie's wedding. And the Vera romper - can you say #bachelorettepartyappro? Something to satisfy all the ladies who loved Kaley Cuoco’s bachelorette party ensem.
Everything is available now, on the Shop Rachel Zoe website. In sizes 0-12. And it couldn’t be any more affordable, really. $295-$695. That's pretty rad. Like the boss herself 😎
