The Gown: Lace A-line Wedding Gown With Detachable Long Sleeves
Anyone else finding themselves lowkey locked on any and all royal news as of late? Us too. Thank you, Oprah (for so many things). So, in the spirit of sovereignty and style, we thought it’d be a really great time to introduce Moonlight Couture’s Fall 2021 Collection, “Royal.” These wedding gowns nod to regality and richness, for sure, but they do so in a way that’s a lot more relatable and, at the same time, renegade than most royal dress codes. And we’re so here for it, because tradition needs to be shook every so often...
Tulle ball gowns have seemingly materialized all of our young dress up days, but for a 20, 30, or 40-something bride, the wedding dress you might want might not match the dress that starred in your decades-old daydream - and that’s okay. If you’re starting the hunt for your own spin on happily-ever-after aisle style, these new Moonlight Couture gowns just happen to give us ALL the fit-for-a-queen vibes.
The Gown: Dreamy Chantilly and Beaded Lace Bridal Gown with Deep Sweetheart
I guess we’d have to say that gilded beading gives royal-resonant wedding fashion a glam side - especially if the rest of your day will be a bit more minimalist. While lace has always been a traditional motif for royals, Moonlight Couture updates the classic and feminine look with metallic embroidered lace appliqués and varying iterations of crystals, pearls, rhinestones, glass, bugle, seed beads, and sequins over misty layers of net (sometimes even starlight/sparkle netting).
The Gown: Luxe Sparkle Tulle Mermaid Bridal Gown with Illusion Bateau Back
Truly, no one does head-turning trains like the royals: gowns with billowing, monarch trains and/or cathedral length veils are the standard. But what we love about Moonlight Couture’s take is that the skirts don’t steal any drama and impact away from the rest of the dress, they just add to the head-to-toe stunning silhouette. Adorned semi-cathedral and chapel trains ensure that as you glide down the aisle, your guests aren’t fixated on the back of the ceremony space, they’re following you straight to the altar.
The Gown: Embroidered Wildflower Black Lace Off The Shoulder Mermaid Bridal Gown
As much as we’ve hoped for a royal wedding look that wasn’t white (or any of its aisle varieties like cream, ivory, blush, etc.) over the years, it’s just not something they do. Totally okay, there’s meaning and worth in honoring tradition, but a wedding dress can be done in something off-white and still be classic and opulent. Moonlight Couture’s Royal Collection is replete with the most beautiful blush and rose-touched styles, cappuccino and latte tones, and even (or especially) some elegant and edgy black offerings.
All of the dresses have ‘palace’ presence, but this one right here? She checks all the boxes for a royal ensemble that breaks the rules in all the best ways possible. “Confidently cater to your sex appeal with a sumptuous unlined corset bodice that bares the shoulders with a strapless sweetheart neckline with coverage from carefully placed embroidered floral appliqués. Stylish boning details peek underneath these demure details and a dainty row of covered buttons with loops run along the illusion open back to complete this stunning bodice.”
It might not bode well with the Queen, but it’s got our approval all over it 😍😍😍
