Discover Lihi Hod’s ‘Lev’ Collection: Where Love Meets Couture
A Collection Woven from the Heart: Lihi Hod’s newest, most personal collection to date, "Lev," the Hebrew word for heart, is a deeply personal offering shaped by love, vulnerability, and courage.
A nod to E.E. Cummings’ elegant poem “I Carry Your Heart with Me,” the collection emerges as a declaration: of intimacy, of connection, of carrying what is dearest through life’s most sacred moments. “I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart),” the poem reads—a line that reflects not only the bond between bride and groom, but also the emotional significance behind each gown, created from the deepest layers of Hod’s inner life.
A masterwork of craftsmanship, Lev comprises twelve gowns, each hand-made in the tradition of old-world couture, requiring up to 40 hours of meticulous creation. The collection explores the tension between structure and softness. Built-in corsetry meets fluid draping, while timeless silhouettes are reimagined through basque and dropped waistlines, sculptural skirts, and strategically placed crinolines that add volume and grace.
Hod's signature attention to detail is ever-present: 100% silk fabrics, intricately hand-embroidered raw pearls, and a design language that finds its voice in both quiet minimalism and refined grandeur. The result is a study in contrasts, fragile yet strong, classic yet alive with modern dynamism.
The Lev bride is a modern romantic with a reverence for tradition and craftsmanship. She chooses quality over spectacle, elegance over excess. She is drawn to garments that feel personal, deliberate, and made with intention: elegant silhouettes, exceptional tailoring, and a quiet kind of confidence. For her, the wedding gown, more than mere attire, is a reflection of love carried inward, a keepsake of the heart she offers and receives.
