Like a lot of designers, Leanne Marshall (of Project Runway fame) recently returned to the runway after taking a hiatus from in-person shows during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It felt good to be back.”, she said and we in the wedding industry couldn’t be happier to have her back! From the beginning, we’ve always loved Leanne’s feminine collections with their layers of silk chiffon and unique dying techniques. While she is based in NYC, Leanne decided that Paris was the perfect spot to make her big runway return. Her most recent collection hits all the marks and we were also thrilled with her age and size-inclusive approach to model casting! While this collection isn’t specifically bridal, most of these looks would look awesome walking down the aisle. We’ve got the full collection right here, but first, take a look at some of our favorite pieces.
The off-the-shoulder trend is still going strong and we love this asymmetrical approach. A chiffon gown like this is perfect for a spring or summer wedding, especially with this stunning abstract print.
This romantic draped gown would be perfect for a seaside elopement. These fabrics are so beautiful and lightweight that this little number would travel well and easily fit in the captain’s closet as you jet off to your destination.
This muted blush is a great color for wedding festivities like your bridal shower or rehearsal dinner. It would also make a super cute exit look!
Terracotta is a color we see a lot of in weddings, but rarely in gowns and we are loving it! It’s a beautiful warm color that looks good on practically everyone!
Can’t decide between sleeves and strapless. Why not an asymmetrically draped gown like this that gives you the best of both worlds? We’re also big fans of a gown with a slit because you spend so much on your wedding shoes, why not show them off?
These beautiful off-the-shoulder flutter sleeves give this whimsical look a distinctly boho feel. This gown would be perfect for a spring desert wedding!
