Drama comes in spades with Isabelle Armstrong's Bridal Masquerade 2020 collection, and we know you are going to fall masked head over stiletto heels in love with these looks! So here to describe her inspiration for the collection is Isabelle Armstrong. And you'll find all her whole collection in our full gallery.
I love mystery, playful traditions, and beautiful, regal gowns. I also love Italy and the rich history of may of its cities. I’ve often wondered what it would have been like to live in Venice during the 16th Century when masquerade balls were popular.
For the fall 2020 collection, I let my imagination guide me into a world of decadent nights filled with excited partygoers, all relishing the anonymity provided by the masks. For one night they could pretend to be anyone, from any place or any social class. As they passed the hours gathered in grand ballrooms, wandering through crowds, they dispensed with the fear of scrutiny, indulging whatever whimsy came to mind in choosing their extravagant costumes of the personalities they wished to adopt for the moment. The feeling was magical, the dresses extraordinary.
This collection is my tribute to those stunning displays of fashion. Grand or demure, each piece is rich in modern detail and designed to bring the fantasy of the enigmatic masquerade ball to the bride who dares to be gold and perhaps just a bit mischievous.
