Dress: Devon by Sottero and Midgley
We’ve been fans of Maggie Sottero for a crazy long time. Not only because the widely-respected wedding dress designer brand is known for impeccable craftsmanship. That’s a given. But also because each of Maggie Sottero’s three stunning labels - Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley, and Rebecca Ingram - is available in sizes petite to plus-size, handmade with personalized options for every body type. Let’s just say that Maggie Sottero was one of if not THE first to make #everybride a real, celebrated thing. We’ve been stalking the Spring 2020 collections, and these dresses are SO. GOOD, guys!
Because Maggie Sottero’s team of designers crafts each and every dress with multiple body types and sizes in mind. That means that there are sketches of gowns for girls with or without curves, and one doesn’t look better than the other - they’re both 🙌🙌🙌. No figure favoritism here, and we feel that 100 percent.
That claim to fame for craftsmanship is no joke, either. Dress designs aren’t just scaled bigger or smaller to accommodate varying size silhouettes; rather, many of the styles incorporate conscious/thoughtful tailoring tweaks to make them right for every body - like modifications in coverage, sleeve length, and neckline, and bespoke design details like illusion netting and flexible inner linings.

It’s just done right. Plus, the three labels offer gowns at plenty of price points, so finding “the one” in your size doesn’t have to mean going over your budget.
We don’t like to label brides ((you can be whoever you want to be on your wedding day)), BUT sometimes it’s helpful to have a bride vibe to go off of! From modern romantic to statement-making, Maggie Sottero has a design fit for every kind of bride.
