Desires - they remind us we’re alive, turn us around, point us in a new direction, call to us to pay attention. Elbeth Gillis is internationally known for her bridal and evening couture. As the head of her world-class brand, her latest collection is all about Desire, “Whether strong and bold or soft and whispering, a desire is part of unashamedly being a women!
This collection pays tribute to the strength it takes to be fully woman: to know when to stop, listen, harness, and let go. This collection is all about being yourself fully. A bride need to be confident in her own skin and own it…
The Desire collection, is possibly one of Elbeth’s most articulate collections to date, fluently and coherently weaving together 15 gowns into one seamless whole. Breathtakingly elegant, this collection sees the return of structured gowns with light boning in the bodices, weightier silks and satins to add definition and line, and bold, outspoken laces. Silhouettes range from gliding ballgowns to figure- defining mermaids. Necklines are strong: plunging Vs, striking bateaus, sweeping off-the-shoulder lines. Sensuous touches of femininity are evident throughout: beading sparkles and glitters, tulle skirt overlays tempt, lace cap sleevelets entice, and back and side cut-outs seduce.
Elbeth Gillis has always been led by Desire from a young age! The Desire to train as a dress designed early on at age 12. Now, over 20 years later, the reputation of this wedding dress designer is a testament to her ability to create the perfect garment. Brides looking for something different will fall in love with Elbeth’s enduring, Audrey Hepburn-like design aesthetic.
