Introducing Evolution 2020, the latest bridal collection of wedding dresses and bridal accessories from Claire Pettibone. A goddess of ethereal gowns, and if you've been following her career, Claire Pettibone wrote the book on romance and femininity.
The idea of transformation and metamorphosis were on my mind when creating this collection. A moment when we sense an evolution from one point to another. I find this an inspiring theme in my work, as I maintain my individuality, while continuing to grow and evolve each season. We all go through many changes in life, and marriage marks one of those moments where vows and promises are recited, and we instantly transform from single to married. And although one could argue that the bride is still the same person, the reality is, that a shift has occurred, and she has entered a new stage in her evolution.
Walking into an attic or a forgotten closet and seeing beams of light illuminating the dust always has an effect on me. The idea that a whole world that we don’t see is right here, just waiting to be discovered… I incorporated elements of the most delicate sparkle with heirloom embroideries and ethereal tulle. As if some of those treasures in the attic were touched by the light and transformed into something new and truly magical.

Leila
Re-embroidered Chantilly lace with hand-beaded floral appliqués flows into a dramatic scalloped edge cathedral length train. The sweetheart neckline is hand embellished, featuring a sheer lace back.
Nera
French tulle embroidery with ivory, blush and silver threads designed in a Victorian motif framed with a gorgeous hand-beaded keyhole back flowing into a sumptuous silk skirt with a cathedral length train.
Iliana
French embroidery with rose, ivory and platinum flowers accented with a delicate sprinkling of silver sparkles, and an elaborate Guipure triangle scalloped hemline.
Dawn
Intricate French embroidery with sheer illusion back and flutter sleeves. The sumptuous silk charmeuse skirt is topped with a light-as-air silver sparkle tulle overskirt.
Stardust
Sparkling French embroidered tulle and silk hugs every curve. Featuring an embellished bodice with floral appliqués and gossamer tulle fitted long sleeves, the sheer illusion back is finished with Swarovski crystals.
Anastasia
Elaborate detailing with antique gold French embroidery, inset with a sheer midriff with Guipure lace detailing at the waist and a plunging scalloped edge neckline. The flowing tulle skirt has an overlayer of beaded tulle finished with a cathedral length embellished train.
Soleil
French embroidered tulle generously sprinkled with glistening sparkles, the floral motif trails along the skirt and bodice to an almost off-the-shoulder illusion neckline with graceful flutter sleeves and a deep V-neckline.
Vida
Variegated yarns trail along the scalloped edge skirt and train, and along the high neck bodice. The sheer illusion back and the graceful sleeves are trimmed with Guipure lace vines. For the finishing touch, the waist is accented with lace and an iridescent sash.
Lyra
French embroidery with threads of dusty rose, ecru and ivory set a romantic mood. The feminine strapless corset bodice features soft structure, detailed with exquisite Guipure lace appliqués at the waist, a gorgeous sheer scooped back with silk covered buttons, and separate billowing tulle and lace sleeves.
Chrysalis
Layers of French ivory embroidery trail along the bodice and skirt, layered over the most delicate gold shimmer tulle. The sky-blue flowers are further embellished with hand-tinted blush blossoms and butterflies.
Aurora
Aurora is made of French embroidered tulle in the softest shade of rose, sprinkled elaborately with gold sparkles. The embroidery frames a modest neckline, and creates a gorgeous sweeping skirt finished with a sheer plunging back and a few hand-beaded flowers at the waist.
Phoenix
Silk velvet patterned with roses and lace, this dramatic wedding dress features inlaid black Guipure lace insets trailing along the stunning cathedral length train. The billowing sleeves feature fitted lace cuffs, and the high neckline with lace collar is hand embellished with Swarovski crystals and jewels.

Gentle hints of color, European laces, and graceful embroideries flutter and flow to make a woman look and feel like a goddess. The West Coast designer brings a deeply feminine sensibility and unique artistry to her ethereal, bohemian, and vintage inspired wedding gowns and bridal accessories. What begins as a spark of the imagination, is sketched and designed by Claire herself, translated into intricate couture fabrics and details, and finally, each piece is hand-crafted in the designer’s Los Angeles atelier housed in a 1920’s historic landmark known as “The Castle.”
