Gown: Golden Hour 'Sloane' Gown
The golden hour. Three words that every photographer lives for and every couple has been rushed to chase during their wedding day. Unless you’re just married or work in the industry, you probably aren’t too familiar with the seductive and alluring nature of the golden hour, but we’ll keep it short and sweet (since it definitely is): the golden hour is an elusive period of time - typically one hour before sunset - when the natural lighting is absolutely perfect for photographs. It’s a Mother Nature-nuanced filter that essentially gives your photos a stunning soft glow. Instead of squinting into harsh sun, brides and grooms can stay relaxed and romantic as they get lit 🔥 and the results are entrancing. So, when Beloved By Casablanca Bridal told us about their newest ‘Golden Hour’ Collection, we knew it had to be similarly magical and faultless. The only thing different about these GH gowns, in contrast to their namesake, is the matter of elusiveness. While the sparkle of magic hour is hard to catch, these fetching gowns are incredibly attainable - all under $1,100.
But c’mon that isn’t possible. No matter the time of day, what shoes the bride is wearing, how she’s wearing her hair, the way she’s smiling, her Golden Hour gown will be perfection - lit up like a dream.
So, here are five of our faves, each one more photogenic than the last. Not even joking.
A blush-colored ballgown is the epitome of romance and femininity. Athena teems with scatters of floral lace appliqués, swirling in heavy clusters across the deep sweetheart neckline, and dusted more delicately through the horsehair-trimmed, layered skirt. Just look at the dimension in this shot and how soft and regal her shadow shows off. Utterly beautiful!
Reasons why we’re loving the glamorous Marlowe gown: The princess seams marry with a new high-stretch satin fabric for a gorgeous fit. The blank canvas this fabric provides is delicately interrupted by panels of Chantilly lace interspersed in the form of slits throughout the skirt. The perfect off-shoulder neckline frames the bride’s face beautifully, for an upscale, yet unassuming look. Also. Anyone else getting serious pseudo-Meghan Markle vibes here?!?
Delicate Chantilly lace fans out in a scalloped, chapel length train on Pippa, accentuated by the blush-colored underlay of the fit-and-flare gown. The bodice is decorated with larger scale floral lace appliqués and stretch illusion spans the plunging V-neckline for a comfortable fit. Her figure is amazingly-contoured, with a soft glow diffusing all around her. Also, gotta give it to the golden hour for bringing out all those blush tones.
Can’t get enough of the sheer look? Then you’ll love the sultry style of Selah. The soft sheer tulle overlay shrouds a Chantilly lace layer that is accentuated by a stretch nude lining. The sheer illusion bateau neckline of the front gives way to a wide-open keyhole back, and the train trails out to a semi cathedral length for a romantic-ethereal look. There also doesn’t seem to be any wind in the photo, but her skirt still looks like it’s wafting whimsically in some way. Her shadow is honestly an extension of the dress. 🙌
Calling all bohemian brides-to-be, Sloane is a casual fit-and-flare wedding dress constructed from a textured-stretch cotton lace, so that you can stand out on your big day while still feeling super comfortable. The organic patterned lace leaves a gently-scalloped edge at the hem of the chapel length train and the end of the three-quarter sleeves. And let’s not forget about the V-neck cut in both the front and the back! Eaaaasily our #1, for sure.
