Sure, we wouldn’t say that a best friendship qualifies every solid relationship, but it def doesn’t hurt to be besties with your boo. We prepped this quiz to give you a gauge on how pally you and your guy/girl. Don’t worry, we promise we won’t ask if you two fart around each other. That question gets asked ALL THE TIME, and yes, you should def be gassing each other up - that’s what you do with your BFFs - but not this way. Not this way….

(1) Umm...we only hang when we’re both 100p healthy - snot and vomit aren’t really either of our things
(2) The last time he/she was sick, we tried to keep our distance, I Uber-Eat’ed him/her some soup and checked in a bunch of times until the contagion was over
(3) Oh yes, we parked our asses on the couch and cuddled up from first sneeze to last the last Theraflu run

(1) Plan something else with a few other friends and don’t tell your lover about the switch - them being blissfully unaware = happy vibes for everyone
(2) Tell your partner your plans were screwed, and try to convince them to go to the same place/do the same thing you would have done with your crew
(3) Get on Hotel Tonight and try to book a last-minute fling for the two of you - you know they’ve been double-tapping the s*** out of X, Y, and Z destinations over the last few months

You might have just started dating, or maybe you’re just keeping things casj for the time being. Your goal really isn’t to be best friends, you’ve got besties on your own. Even so, maybe just spend a little extra time trying to get to know one another. Just like you can rely on your teammates at work, or on the field (intramural sports & rec, how about joining a league with your love??), having a teammate IRL is a good thing.

Share interests with one another, invite each other out with your respective friends, show that you’re putting the effort in.
