Pink and Purple Wedding Ideas

From Parsimony Vintage: When we were designing this look, four things came to mind. Young, pretty, fresh, and of course, hot pink heels! With these elements we created our Pop of Pink, in this loveliest of photoshoots. We chose a girly #swoonworthy color palette of pinks and purples. Using the lush green backdrop of The Gentlemen's Farm, a 1700s farmhouse located in beautiful Massachusetts, our pops of color were allowed to make their statement in this spring shoot.

We carried the color palette through all the details of the bride's big day. Whether it was the champagne station displaying fun glitter champagne bottles, flowers, hair and makeup or the stunning cake, we were able to capture the perfect combination of fun and girly.

For our floral elements, Stacey Rackliffe of The Tangled Grapevine, envisioned hot pinks, purples and crimson for a bride who is spunky, fresh and preppy, someone who is the life of the party. She used white peonies, blush pink lush garden roses, crimson burgundy dahlias, white goosenecks, purple stattis, strawberry pink straw flowers, silver brunia and mini mrytle to make the gorgeous bouquet and floral crown.

We loved the idea of a bride who isn't afraid to have fun with her big day look. We fell in love with the Macie dress by Maggie Sottero from Bridal Heirlooms with its amazing polka dot pattern and its short front hem. A perfect dress to display hot pink heels. We paired the dress with beautiful ornate droplet earrings and matching bracelet by jewelry designer Ayala Bar and added a stunning diamond ring by Anne Sportun of DMG Don Muller Gallery.

We played up our standard color linens with pattern china, colored glass and hand painted floral paper elements. The tablescape has all the girly details while still having an elegant tone.

Our makeup artist Aly Terlik of Brush. Salon wanted to achieve a very feminine and fresh look. Using a soft color palette on the face allowed her to add pops of color on the lips and shimmer on the lids and cheeks. Effortlessly romantic was what our hairstylist Jaclyn Lope Morin of Brush. Salon wanted to capture and she did by creating beautiful free flowing locks to compliment our fresh feminine look.

And to end the big day on a sweet note, Peter Gray of Pete's Sweets, created a masterpiece made of vanilla butter cake layered with tart lemon curd, dotted with summer ripe raspberries, iced in white chocolate almond buttercream and wrapped in vanilla fondant. The delicate white on white buttercream stencil work was accented with artisan gumpaste flowers and hand dusted gumpaste leaves.
