We're extra excited to share this collection by Blanco. Why, you ask? Veils, that's why! Glorious beautiful veils. Mantilla, drop veils, blushers, tiered, embroidered ... veils and more veils! It feels like these stunning accessories have been overlooked a lot lately and we're so happy to see the in the forefront of this collection (which also includes dresses, tops and skirts so keep scrolling).
Blanco started a bespoke business and we have been dressing the chic brides of New York in gowns and veils for over a decade. Blanco has debuted out it’s made- to- order product, Collection I, this spring. The collection is meant to be timeless and season-less which future styles will build upon. The collection is totally customizable; the styles can be ordered as is or modified to make a unique piece.
There are nine veils, three dresses, two lace tops and one skirt in the collection. Blanco is make entirely in New York at the finest ateliers. The veils are all individually draped and made by hand. The trims are sourced all over the world using French laces, vintage guipure trims and the richest tulle. The collection was inspired by silver screen era movie starlets, architectural lines and art deco jewelry. Every piece is meant to become an heirloom and stand the test of time, feeling as fresh in eighty years as it does today.
Blanco was started by Natalie Otero Ossipov who has worked at Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Trademark and Gap. Her love of bespoke started when she was working at the Narciso Rodriguez atelier where she feel in love with the true art form of draping and fit. She wanted to bring her high-end ready-to-wear experience to bridal, where there is a lack of clean and sleek choices. Natalie feel the beauty lays in the details: the drape of a skirt, the seaming, darts and construction.
