Ever thought about a destination wedding in Puerto Rico? Because every single one we’ve seen in the PR is TDF (to die for)!! And we’re particularly impressed with a resort that just reopened [last December]. The St. Regis Bahia Beach, thank you sooo much for opening your doors again, because weddings in the Island of Enchantment just wouldn’t be what they are without you. We caught up with the resort to get a full rundown on their wedding wonders, and we’re pretty sure we’re about ready to book our flights…
There are a lot of reasons why couples decide on a destination wedding: maybe they’re all about the YOLO mentality, so they figure why not go big and go off the grid? Maybe they vacationed somewhere incredible together and can’t shake those special memories, so now they want to share them all with their favorite people. Or maybe they just want to plan out their day in the prettiest of places, because paradise found has so much built-in natural beauty - not much else is needed for pure nuptial bliss!

I’d love to say that The St. Regis Bahia Beach just shines on its own, but the truth is a wedding here isn’t just spectacular because of its sublime setting. There are local attractions and phenomenal property features that make SRBB so exceptional.
Is minutes away from the beach, so any ceremony or reception outside offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Not something that’s easily accessible when you’re stateside
Is near Rio Grande’s most popular destinations, including El Yunque National Forest
Boasts an oasis of pools, with a host of cabanas and lounge chairs - we don’t have to follow this one up, right? Pools, cabanas, lounging on repeat 🙌
Is home to the Iridium Spa, allowing brides, grooms, wedding party pals, and guests to pamper themselves with custom massages or specialty skin therapies (every treatment at the island spa is carefully designed with indigenous and cultural influences, using native ingredients like coconut, coffee, and sugar cane - what a way to welcome your crew to PR, too!)
Features 26,557 square feet of function space - so you’re not limited, whatsoever, when it comes to your I Do locale
Affords exquisite settings for ALL of your gatherings (welcome lunches, rehearsal dinners, the wedding ceremony+reception, the after party, the post-wedding continued celebrations, etc.) surrounded by lush tropical gardens and ocean waves. Even venues with tropical themes can’t get you this close to the real thing…
Guarantees flawless planning and execution of any/every wedding event by connecting couples with their team of expert event planners
Assigns every bride a butler (yes, not just a wedding attendant, but a butler #fancy) of her own for the day/weekend. He or she is responsible for making personalized tweaks to any of the couple’s aisle ambitions, customizing their menu, and on-boarding any other specialized teams to cover off on their dreams.

Wedding festivities can be organized on a variety of resort outposts, and can be as grandiose or intimate as the couple imagines. Oh, and the distinguished names of these areas, alone, make all the difference. Who wouldn’t want their ceremony held in the Astor Pavilion? Sounds major!!
If your guest list is putting numbers up like this, St. Regis promises to be prepared!
Can hold… 300 people with round tables, 400 people for cocktail hour, and/or 400 people for ceremony

Can hold… 370 people for cocktail hour, 210 people with round tables, and/or 80 people for an imperial table configuration. Oh, that imperial setup… Be still our hearts.
Can hold… 150 people for cocktail hour, 100 people with round tables, and/or 80 people for an imperial table configuration
But by far, our favorite part(s) of The St. Regis Bahia Beach are all the local attractions that add to the Puerto Rican wedding experience. All of these places are less than 30 minutes away, so you’d be silly to miss out.
Marriage is a huge step that involves trust, commitment, an up-for-anything attitude, so couples can kick things off in a great way by venturing to the rainforest and spending a day of exploration with their extra special person. Hiking to waterfalls, zip-lining, swimming, taking in all the views from the top - ALL the couple goals realized.
You can’t visit Puerto Rico without checking this place off your must-see list. And we love how close it is to the resort, because couples can plan a super fun offsite with their guests to get everyone into the vibe of their vows. Restaurants, music, art and architecture - how do salsa lessons sound for an exciting rehearsal dinner pregame? We love it!

Restaurants, nightlife, the beach, and a whole lot of water sports. We always love when destination wedding couples provide their guests with a well-thought-out welcome bag upon their arrival, but imagine what a welcome bag could look like at a St. Regis Bahia Beach wedding. Fun snacks, an itinerary with wild excursions (either pre-planned or suggested) to embark on while they’re there, and a sweet note penned by the bride and groom themselves inviting attendees to make their wedding their own personal vacation and ‘take some plunges’ right alongside them!
We’re in love with this enchanted place… can you blame us? Get in touch now to start planing your event!
We partnered with The St. Regis Bahia Beach to show you just how fun a destination wedding can be in Puerto Rico. As always, thank you for supporting our sponsors!
