These couple had two things in common: a passion for traveling and a weakness for old cars. In fact, they restored this beautiful old Volkswagen Bulli and took it on a road trip way down to the south of Portugal. They wanted a reminder of this amazing experience and called on Frau K Heiratet to help them create this whimsical inspiration shoot.
Nadine Killmeyer Photography was there to capture all the fun details, Eve & Glow to film, and Frau K Heiratet planned every detail. You can see all the images in the full gallery. Keep reading to hear more details from Frau K Heiratet.
The bride wore Körbchen Wien lingerie, and jewelry by Juwelier Homm. Andrea Olek created her hair and makeup look and Eve Bridal provided two sustainable wedding dresses.
We wanted to have an all natural style and work together with local vendors. Since the couple lives totally vegan and sustainable we wanted the dress to be all self made so we asked the beautiful Isabelle of to loan us two of her amazing handmade dresses.
We love the natural, adventurous and playful feel of this shoot. I pretty sure that everyone who sees this might want a Volkswagen Bulli now!
Also we didn’t want the shooting to be too stressful and we didn’t want a big staging - but keep it small and simple. We tried to focus on the details and work with what we had. We reused an old radio for decoration and found an old table on the flea market. The Venue was a little quarry quite literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing special at first sight, but the warm brown colors and the fact that nobody can see or hear us made it super special.
These two had two things in common: a passion for traveling and a weakness for old cars. They restored an old Volkswagen Bulli and took it on a long way down to the south of Portugal. This trip gave them something like a special connection, a transparent ribbon that keeps them together in every situation of their life. I didn't hesitate - Yeah! I truly wanted to shoot them as a wedding couple in front of their beloved car.
Together with an awesome team we found a place that was perfect for our scene: an old quarry - in the middle of nowhere. We tried to stick to all the natural colors and made it a close-to-nature shoot. With the help of Florietta Meisterfloristik, we reused old flowers as well as a table, which had thrown away and told their intimate story.
