Daniel James Photography is a wedding photography company based out of Carmel, CA. He has been photographing weddings for over five years, originally from Orange County, California, Daniel recently has moved to the Monterey Bay area out of a desire to surround himself and his family in the inspiring geography of the region.

Combining a fine art wedding photography approach with photojournalism, Daniel is constantly looking for ways to provide couples with real memories that will also spark love and excitement well into old age together.

While the world was forced to enter lockdown in early 2020, Daniel began reaching to other photographers and vendors in the weddings and event space in an effort to redeem this time sheltering in place. As weddings all around California and the rest of the world were being rescheduled, Daniel decided to focus this creative energy into the world of education.

“It is so easy to access high-quality information but so much of it seems regurgitated, I wanted to dive deep with wedding professionals and ask the questions I have been wondering while being allowed to get lost the weeds. I have gleaned so much from other podcasters and love this format, so I decided to just jump in and create my own!” - Daniel.

In just a few short weeks Daniel was putting out weekly episodes with some of the top wedding photographers from around the world. Some well-known guests such as Jose Villa have been on to answer age-old questions like, “what actually is fine art wedding photography”, to what it was like from a photographer’s perspective to photograph celebrity weddings like Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas event. Other guests have included even more Wedding Chicks published photographers such as Jeremy Chou, shedding light on the realities of the international wedding photography life, to Brandon Kidd, touching more on developing a photography business in 2020.
