So, we had a few questions on creating our Mixbook. They do not state anywhere what size the images need to be. So, we asked, and you will just need to make sure to ask your photographer to send over some high res images. We also noticed when we uploaded our photos, they seemed to be a little pixelated. Thankfully our excellent customer service representative Karl helped us out, and let us know that the images will be beautiful, they do this for load time. When we received the books the images were gorgeous, just like Karl said they would be! So, do not fret if looks a little off when you are creating your book.
At the end of the review they asked us to give Karl a score, and of course we gave him a rave review. Bonus! They gave us the option to offer Karl a gift card, free lunch or coffee. We opted to take him out to lunch! That's Karl below.
First things first, go through and take Mixbook for a test drive. You can basically edit everything! We started our books and realized half way through that we could edit some of the overlays, text and backgrounds. If we would have known this going in we might have changed a few things around. Long story short, play around with their technology before you dive in.
If you are making a photo book for your wedding we suggest putting all your photos in chronological order first (getting ready, bridesmaids photos, ceremony and so on). This will save you a ton of time once you start creating your book. Our last bit of advice is to make sure you have someone edit your book. We had a few typos, and would have missed those if we hadn't looked at each-others books.
Thanks to the following for allowing us to to use their images to make these fun photobooks.
