Oh man, today was quite a day in my household. I LOVE Valentine’s Day, love, love, loveeee it. And I was super excited to let my little man in on a family tradition that my mom started with me and my sister decades ago. Chocolates and festive Vday socks. Super simple, but so memorable, and one of my favorite things about the holiday.
Well, instead of chocolates and cute kids socks, it was Pedialyte and oyster crackers, because my son had us up through the entirety of the night with a horrific stomach bug. Ugh. Sooo not ideal - only just because I couldn’t wait to see him flip over Valentine’s M&M’s (his current favorite when it comes to the candy game) and instead, he looked at the Pedialyte in absolute disgust. What every two-year-old wants to sip on on a holiday when sweets are not only advised, they're preferred.

In any case, our boy is finally feeling better (TG!!!), but since we’re still settling into roles as new parents, we sat eating pizza tonight and wondered what the rest of the world - and LBH, we really meant celebrities - was up to on Valentines. We actually got a lot of great, ‘they’re just like us’ feels from their feeds, and why wouldn’t we? Love is love is love is loveeee and on Valentine’s Day, even more than most other holidays, we’re all feeling the same kinds of things: whether we’re with someone or without.
Now who are we to judge who had the best, most appropriately lovey-funny-admiring-thoughtful-endearing posts of them all? The sentiments are personal and beautiful across the board. But there were a bunch of celebrity posts that really just made us love them even more than we already do.

From J.Lo and A-Rod’s totally relaxed (albeit stunningly glammed up, as per usj) in-bed blessings, to Zac Efron’s love shoutout to all of us, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Hale’s hella satisfying self-love tributes -- with affirmations and new tats -- to Kaley Cuoco’s just-adopted pet power post, these guys all had rad ways of saying Happy Valentine’s Day. And we were here for ALL of them.
Scroll down to see a few of our favorites get nice and free about all their feels on February 14th. And if you haven’t fine tuned your own poetic genius yet (in other words, your Insta post, a single Insta post) - we get it, killer captioning is a gift - then maybe borrow some words from these gems? You still have a few hours to make it count!
We teased a little about what they say, but you’ll have to hop on over to their pages to see the whole things. Too good to abbreviate!
