When planning a wedding it's important to identify what is most important to you as a couple and what you can save a little money on. If that extra over the top ballroom venue isn't really your style, maybe you or a close relative has the perfect spot for you to say "I do".
Gina and Niko tied the knot in Niko's stepdad's backyard and let us tell you, it was the perfect location for this beautiful event! Keep scrolling to see what we mean and don't miss a single detail of this day thanks to our full gallery of photos and the photography talents of Julie Kay Kelly.
Gina and Niko were married in a sweet and intimate backyard ceremony in the hills of the East Bay, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The style reflected these two well: natural, sweet, understated, and full of love.
As soon as I met them, Niko and Gina's shared values were apparent. These two are kind, salt-of-the-earth souls with a love of adventure and for one another. They wanted a simple wedding and were thrilled when Niko's stepfather offered his beautiful home as the venue.
Guests lined the sides of a turquoise pool to watch the ceremony, then danced and dined under a sprawling oak tree. Florals were loose, gathered-from-the-garden style. After the ceremony, we got to steal away into the stunning nearby hills just as the sun was setting. It felt like we were on top of the world as these two reveled in their new life together.
