Let's talk about one of the most untapped wedding resources, state parks! There are over 6,000 state parks in the US and they are so much more than just hiking trails through the wilderness. Take Ridley Creek State Park in Pennsylvania. With sprawling gardens and an elegant estate, this park is home to one of the state's most unique wedding venues. So, when Andrea and Scott saw it, it's no wonder that they fell in love! Andrea wore a regal A-line ballgown with a sweeping train that complemented the grandeur of the space and Scott looked equally dashing in a timeless black suit.
To keep it classic, they went with all-white florals and plenty of greenery. We're absolutely in love with the vine installation by Belovely that looks as if the garden is overtaking the grand estate. These photos by Emily Wren Photography look like they're straight out of a fairytale and capture all of the details that went into making this wedding design such a success. Andrea Polaski and Scott Woodruff planned their summer wedding at a Pennsylvania State Park, but it's not your average park wedding. It's actually a Parque wedding–a beautiful stone mansion with surrounding gardens, a reflecting pond, and a fountain, nestled away peacefully in Ridley Creek State Park. The venue has a bygone grandeur that the couple matched beautifully with. Swooping, expansive floral arrangements from Belovely florals looked as though they were taking over an estate lost in time. To match the stately features of the property, they enlisted Empress Stationery to create an invitation suite that evokes the same sense of place.
With an incredible team assembled to create the environment of their dreams, all that was left to do for Scott and Andrea was to show up! After getting her hair and makeup done by True Beauty Marks, putting on her Anne Barge gown, and celebrating with her bridesmaids, Andrea made her way to the reflecting pond to see her wedding day image reflected in her soon-to-be husband's eyes. They shared a touching moment to themselves for a portrait session in the gardens before separating once again to have their ceremony. With amazing food from Peachtree Catering to sustain them through cocktail hour and the reception, their night came to an end with their wedding cake and cigar bar.
