You Simply Cannot Get Anymore Glam Than This Gold Ballroom Wedding!
Holy Glam-o-saurus-rex! This wedding has taken the idea of over the top and topped even that! I mean just look at those reception tables, you practically expect to see French nobility walk into frame any minute. You simply cannot get anymore glam than this gold ballroom wedding! Allison and Alex's big day is one you could easily stare at for hours and still not see everything.
This is why we have a full gallery of images for you to do just that at your own leisure. The gallery is stuffed full of gorgeous images of this reception, the cathedral ceremony and stunning portraits thanks to the talents of Niki Marie Photography!
From Niki Marie Photography: Allison and Alex’s Colony Club wedding was incredible in every single way. If I had one word to describe their wedding day it would be jaw dropping. Not only are Allison and Alex such a gorgeous couple inside and out, but their whole entire wedding day was breathtaking. Not one detail was overlooked.
Their ceremony took place at the Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel. The classic architecture of this historic chapel was the perfect place for Allison and Alex to officially tie the knot. Allison and Alex wanted timeless images, so they chose the Detroit Institute of Arts for their portrait location. The white marble staircases complimented the whole entire bridal party.
Allison has such impeccable taste! Her lace open back dress and laced trimmed veil was practically made for her, and Alex looked so dapper in his classic black tux. The reception was held at the Colony Club in Downtown Detroit. The arched windows and crystal chandeliers make for such a dreamy ballroom. The whole entire ballroom was filled with the most intricate floral designs.
Making Do With A Whoops
Regardless of the chaos of the planning, Take a deep breathe! The finial day will be more then you could ever image. The priest showed up an hour late for our ceremony. It was hot humid day in a small church with very minimal air conditioning. My husband is very punctual and I knew he was freaking out! Our bridal party handled the situation very well. While the grooms men kept Alex (My Husband) cool, calm and collected, my girls kept me relaxed with and impromptu dance party. I couldn’t image it going another way.
