The bride and groom chose a venue that was both elegant and vintage to have their wedding. Growing up on Long Island, the bride wanted to have her guests enjoy an outdoor ceremony on the water . They chose West Sayville Country Club on the great South Bay.
From the bride: I choose yellow and gray as my wedding colors. Yellow has always been my favorite color and the combination of the gray with a pop of yellow was a must. My bridesmaids wore dresses from JCrew in graphite gray color and the groomsmen wore the "executive" suit from Jos A Bank. The yellow was incorporated in the girl's bouquets which were made up of yellow roses, and freesia. The men had yellow and white striped ties and wore crespedia balls.
Invitations were a preview to the elegant and vintage event. Custom designed by Hobart and Haven, the white linen cardstock was backed by a charcoal gray matte stock to give a layered look. The invitations were packaged in matching charcoal envelopes with yellow and white striped envelope liners and completed with elegant white penning by Lettering by Liz of Boston, MA.
Tables were set with crisp white linens, gray linen table runners and yellow napkins. Simple centerpieces adorned the tables which contained three cylinder vases of varying heights each with a different flower; white hydrangeas, yellow roses, and a beautiful mixture of the two.
The bride wore a strapless fit and flare gown from Priscilla of Boston, the Lia gown. The veil was borrowed from her bridesmaid and was trimmed with a beautiful alencon lace.
