Christine and Andrew got engaged at Yosemite's Vernal Falls with a ring designed with diamonds from Christine's grandmother's ring. Christine's mom is an event planner, her dad is very handy, and she's quite creative so it's no wonder that their wedding was DIY and beautiful from start to finish.
Their perfect venue, Triple S Ranch, added the perfect amount of open air spaces to complement their love of the outdoors. See all the whimsical little details from this yellow and brown DIY wedding in the full gallery here, photographed by Angie Silvy.
The venue was easy inspiration with its collection of salvaged and restored antiques from around the world incorporated into the property and of course the black oak tree they had fallen in love with on their first visit. The walnut tree became a theme across the wedding and was included on everything from invitations, programs, welcome bags and dessert. As part of the ceremony Christine and Andrew planted a tree together with soil from both of their families homes to symbolize the joining of their families.
Christine, Andrew and her family made everything from a trail mix buffet, lemonade stand, table runners, numbers, centerpiece flower boxes, dried flower arrangements to accent their fresh floral arrangements, pennants to wave after they said "I do", dessert table banners, fabric chair backers for the ceremony and more. The bride's father made custom succulent boxes with walnut stain and wood burned their initials on each box for guest to take home with them. Christine's mother sourced fabric to sew custom table runners and created backers for the ceremony chairs and dessert table with the fabric.
About our florist Hannah Muller from Full Belly Farms: She was AMAZING and so easy to work with. We wanted organic, fresh and local flowers and she is a farmer at a local farm. The look we wanted was like they had just been picked and placed in a mason jar. She used both dried and fresh flowers 100% from her farm. The colors, textures and smells (she tucked in some Sweet Annie for a bit of extra perfume) were all so fun. She was the most affordable vendor I found and over-delivered in awesomeness with her floral arrangements.
