Kaydee and Dallas' sunny Encinatas wedding is surely to inspire and give you more than a few ideas for you up and coming Boho Chic Backyard Wedding. You bet there are a whole lot more wedding details in the full gallery.
Here is a write up from Nicole Moser & Jennah Walls, the girls who designed the wedding. We were not given a website, but we sure all of you are going to be wondering how in the world to get a hold of these crafty ladies. Hint hint girls.
Nicole and I designed Kaydee and Dallas' wedding off of a photo of a tablescape full of color and mixed flowers that Kaydee was inspired by. She was the easiest bride any designers could ask for. Besides the inspirational image and what we called a "woodsy boho" theme we were given we had full creative freedom. They wanted their wedding to be personal and casual so they had it at a private residence in San Diego to create that intimacy.
What the heck? Yup you need one of these custom flags for your wedding. Plus it was surprise to the bride and groom.
Keeping in mind the casual theme they opted out of a traditional dinner and highlighted a huge desert table, lemonade stand, photobooth and photo wall timeline of their relationship. Seating was lounge style surrounding the pool and overlooking the property. Our goal was to create these areas as a unique experience as well as tying them together. First off ee created a custom flag with the bride and groom's monogram from their invitation and surprised them with it hanging over the reception area on the day of.
Almost everything with the decor turned into DIY project for us. These DIY's included vintage fabric strips we dyed from Kaydee's work to balance the colorful flowers. We toned it down with a three tiered feather chandelier that hung from a 10'x6' iron structure her dad custom built for us over the desert table. The deserts were handmade by friends and family of the couple and they were so thought out and beautiful even including small feathers and the couples monogram! You have to see more of the cute desserts in the full gallery, but want to make sure you notice that the names of the desserts are stamped on the little tree stumps. Cleverness is overflowing at this wedding!
Stop! Steal worthy refreshment station idea:
One of our biggest concerns was changing the backyard to look more wedding and less backyard. There was a huge permanent BBQ area that we were determined to cover. We built a 7'6"x16' wood wall that hid the area and acted as a lemonade stand and Nicole hand painted "refreshments" in the center of the wooden wall.
We love that they added flower headbands to the props. Hello cuteness.
For the photobooth we wanted a backdrop that we had never seen before so continuing with the dying of fabric we seemed to be doing we got a painters drop cloth, created a pattern on it with wax and then dyed the drop cloth creating an instant custom pattern!
