Wisconsin Bling And Burlap Garden Wedding

Happy couple posing outdoors in wedding attire

Our next Wisconsin wedding was photographed by none other than Emily Steffen Photography at the gorgeous. Mystical Rose Gardens. A unique garden paradise with an open-air greenhouse, gazebo gardens, and interior Rec Rooms. Rain or shine this Wisconsin wedding venue has you covered, and was the ideal place for Meghan and Patrick's bling and burlap garden wedding.
You may have guessed that the entire event was filled with burlap and a bits of sparkle here and there to tie it all together. Think- vintage broaches and an exquisite beaded wedding gown. You can see so much more in the full gallery by clicking here, and read on to here from Meghan the bride.

From the Bride The "theme" of our wedding was "burlap and bling". I wanted to create a cohesive look that featured the amazing gardens at our venue, some vintage pieces like burlap and then, of course, some bling to tie it all together. We bought vintage broaches to decorate the candle vases on the tables that featured flowers from our friends and family's gardens. The tables were lined with a burlap runner and other accenting "bling".

My dress also had a gorgeous beaded part on the bodice which tied in the bling to our attire as well. The gazebo for the ceremony was decorated with burlap, white organza, grape vine, and flowers. We also chose to have yard games during cocktail hour....bean bag toss, boccee and a giant yard jenga that Patrick's dad made for us! :)

Tips on using burlap at your wedding-
There are so many fantastic burlap items from vendors. More than likely, they took the time to get the earthy odor out of the fabric. If you plan on crafting your own table runners, bunting banners and wedding favors out of burlap be sure not to toss it in the washer.
Burlap is not machine washable, but there are ways to get it smelling fresh and clean. Hand wash gently in vinegar and water  and hand dry or sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and water and let dry over night. You can vacuum up the reside off the fabric.  Voila your burlap is oh so fresh and clean.
