From DeFiore Photography:Kimberly’s choice of yellow and rustic brown for the wedding were perfect for the season and the setting, with yellow sunflowers as the highlight of the bouquets. Her beautiful lace wedding dress had a lovely peek-a-boo back, and was paired with handmade silver artisan jewelry. The bride wore cowboy boots with her wedding dress and each bridesmaid did the same. What better way to dance in comfort to a mountain jam band at a pig roast reception?

After originally meeting in Leadville, Colorado, this California couple came back to their old stomping grounds to celebrate with friends and family, and embrace the “mountain zen” that’s a big part of them both. Not only was their destination wedding scheduled on the same wedding date as Ravn’s great grandparents, but they also used their wedding rings. A perfect circle of family connection and new beginnings in one celebration.

The beautifully handcrafted Main Lodge at Aspen Canyon Ranch overlooks the Williams Fork River, surrounded by aspen groves and tall pines. White mountain peaks reach to the sky, silent witnesses to your day, the beginning of a new life. The trills of hummingbirds punctuate the air. Private, intimate, and one-of-a-kind, the entire ranch is yours. Aspen Canyon knows how to create the perfect mountain wedding.

The feather in the cap of this wild western wedding in Colorado was the whole roasted pig that Aspen Canyon Ranch Private Event Kitchen prepared for Kimberly and Ravn's reception. It was all apart of their "Western-style Meal” that included broiled salmon, sauteed green beans, and hand rolled biscuits. Mmm Mmm, sounds delish!
