Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson is the perfect inspiration for a lovely wedding day. Outdoorsy elements are sprinkled throughout. Such as the cascading wildflower bouquet and the summer camp style table number pennant flags. You are sure to fall classically in love with this whimsical outdoor wedding.

Rachel and Tom really love the Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom and were drawing their color inspiration from the hues often seen throughout the movie: mustard yellow, light pink, and a little pop of orange and navy for fun!
They wanted the wedding to have a relaxed, outdoor feel and envisioned wildflowers all over the place. The bouquets were heavy on the greenery to evoke the natural feel Rachel desired with pops of ranunculus, poppies, and hellebores. There was also a little bit of linderas thrown in (the brown leafy plant), to give the bouquets a unique element and to give a nod to the outdoorsy-ness of Moonrise Kingdom.
For the reception, Rachel curated all the bottles, vases, and vintage books used in the centerpieces. Rachel’s father made the tin candle holders and her grandmother made the lace overlays for the napkins. Rachel also DIY'ed the flag table numbers and the lantern wedding favors.
