From the Bride:Today I want to share with you my experience of creating the wedding of my dreams. All of my friends were already married, so I knew what kind of wedding I wanted and what I did not. I did not want a traditional Russian wedding, but the final picture of my dream wedding day hadn't quite came into puzzle yet.
We decided to do all the decor ourselves and my husband was so supportive of me. I wanted a marshmallow wedding, so we made marshmallow garlands. On the tables for guests, we put Russian marshmallows, and in them stuck flags with their names. The napkins we tied with yarn strings with a button in the middle, and the florist added small flowers. To decorate the tables we bought fabric and lace. To decorate the back of our seats I made 3 garlands of tambours with lace. For our wedding reception we had planned a soap and bubble show.
For the wish table we bought a picture frame from Ikea, removed the glass and used it for fingerprints of our guests. As a gift to the guests I baked heart cookies and tied them with peach yarn strings. I decorated by using glass jars with fabric flowers, string and ribbon to tie on chairs, on the reception tables, and on the dessert stand. My husband made a wood stand for cake.
