From KMHallberg Design: This gorgeous wedding was chock full of details that reflected the fun loving personalities of both the bride and the groom. From the bride's blue gown and the alternative song choice of "Trap Queen" for the first dance to the small geometric fortune cookies that contained weird but true facts and the completely one of a kind handmade decor, it was obvious that this wedding was inspired and unapologetically bold.
The most unique aspect of this wedding is that the bride chose to wear a custom made blue dress with white leather detailing. The dress is an original design by Ashley Pugh of I Do Couture based in Dallas, Texas. The bride wanted something modern, bold and edgy, but still retain the feminine quality of a traditional bridal gown. The sleek lines and bright color created a show stopping gown with tons of wow factor.
A recurring theme of lush florals (both real and handmade) with blue, gold, and geometric accents is prevalent through the ceremony and reception. The bride, Katherine, actually owns a small business called KMHallberg Design that specializes in creating custom displays for special events, so she was able to create paper flower garlands, paper flowers, and geometric accents for the ceremony and reception. The one of a kind ceremony backdrop is made from paper flowers that are all cut, dyed, and strung by hand. The white flowers create a stunning contrast to the lush greenery and bold blue wedding dress.
The sweetheart table was draped with a lush garland to accent the green backdrop, and for dessert, the wedding cake was a 4 tiered creation from Sweet Meg's featuring the following flavors: key lime, honey bun, and the blueberry cotton candy.
