The couple chose Lake Tahoe as their wedding destination after spending several winters skiing and snowboarding here. Guests were treated to a lakefront ceremony on the sand. Colorful parasols dotted the chairs, which were tied into the overall feeling of whimsy and fun that Casey and Pat wanted their guests to feel.
Casey's dress was simple yet gorgeous. Designed by Lela Rose, her dress had a minimalist silhouette and beautiful embroidery to make this gown effortlessly stunning and Greco Rose Beauty styled her perfectly in it. It also had pockets which added a fun factor to the dress. The search for Pat's tie was one of the lengthiest parts of the planning process! He wore a blue suit and wanted to find the perfect tie to reflect the colorful and bright feeling of the night. After trying on 25 ties, he finally found the tie of his wedding daydreams at Ted Baker!
We carefully curated the vendor team to ensure the food, drinks, and entertainment would be a delight for everyone there. Aside from the guest experience, the food was the first priority for Casey and Pat. Casey is from Atlanta and wanted to incorporate her southern roots in some way. The chefs worked with us to create a Southern dream menu for the couple, based on Casey's favorite chefs and restaurants from Atlanta. Fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, and pie were a few of the highlights from the menu.
We also created a custom bar with signature cocktails: An Old Fashioned for him, and a Spritz for her. We accented the bar with a giant white balloon garland to tie in the fun and whimsical vibe of the evening.
Casey wanted the décor to reflect her style: bright and colorful, yet elegant, so we took inspiration from their home. That cheerful palette was translated into the wedding design in everything from the ceremony florals to the place cards, the hanging baskets above the head table, and escort cards placed in brightly colored floral arrangements.
On the dinner tables, which were each named for a different ski resort Casey and Pat have visited together, we juxtaposed the rest of the design with tranquil white florals and succulents on wooden tables under the tent. The day-of paper goods and signs were custom-made by One Fine Day Events.
Guests danced the night away on the lakefront dance floor with the help of Music in Tahoe and enjoyed taking sunset photos on the pier. A pie and ice cream bar was served for dessert instead of cake, where guests were treated to an array of pies from Ikeda's Gourmet Country Market to cap off the sweetest of days.
