Summer is officially over and that warm weather is now just a memory, so the idea of slipping down to Mexico for a few days sounds absolutely heavenly. And heavenly is exactly what this next couples destination wedding was. With a beautiful flower accented beach wedding and a reception filled with authentic Mexican details, we knew we just had to share this with all of you.

Laura and Mark live in Minneapolis and got engaged there during a “staycation” at the Hewing Hotel in the North Loop, but for their wedding day, they sought warmer climes: Casa Del Mar in Los Cabos, Mexico, where Laura’s family has owned a condo for more than a decade.
With a soft coral, blush, cream, and white palette, the couple chose lots of blooms – roses, ranunculus, parrot tulips, and other seasonal flowers – and bright blue Claze Azul bottles for table decorations. They also used hand-blown glass hearts as place cards, symbolizing hospitality and an “open heart” to your guests in Mexican culture.
Among the couple’s personal touches were a cigar lounge with an expert cigar roller, organza bags of Jordan almonds in tribute to Laura’s late grandmother, and a few minutes of fireworks before the couple left in a sparkler-lit exit.
Their biggest splurge, Laura says, was on lighting and décor, although nature lent a hand. “We really wanted to set a magical scene for our guests, and the sunset we got that evening only made it more magical.
