Thankfully this couple hired Something Bleu Wedding & Event Planning to plan their intimate wedding at a family estate and they were in good hands. Something Bleu worked out everything from parking and plumbing logistics to a backup rain plan.

Flowers play a big role when you're planning an estate wedding, they set the tone for the entire design. Lia & Tucker were the sweetest couple and wanted a high-end garden party vibe for their special wedding day! Due to the COVID pandemic, they wanted to have an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. Their wedding was just about 65 guests and was held at Tucker's uncle and aunt's breathtaking private estate on Cape Cod in Falmouth. A magical forest was the perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony with a stunning deconstructed floral arch. After the ceremony, we moved and repurposed the deconstructed floral arch to be the perfect backdrop to frame their farmhouse sweetheart table under a gorgeous sailcloth tent.

Special details of the wedding included a photo wall of pictures of the couple from their childhood, through dating, and into their engagement. Other special details included handmade soap favors for guests to take home, a very special fairy garden with hanging bud vases, and hand-painted rocks that represented loved ones of the couple that are sadly no longer with us. The fairy garden was especially important to Lia as her father had passed away recently and wasn't able to be there. A signature martini cocktail adorned with edible flowers was the perfect drink for guests to enjoy on a starry Labor Day weekend evening. Stunning flowers created the high-end garden party vibe that Lia wished to have for their wedding day. Guests danced under the beautiful sailcloth tent long into the evening and then many guests stayed to enjoy sitting by a fire pit to end the night. It was truly a gorgeous wedding that was filled with so much love.

SOME TIPS FROM THE PRO

What You Need To Know About Having Your Wedding At A Private Estate

1. Make sure you have air-tight rain plans in place when planning a tented wedding at a private estate.

2. Make sure you have a nice portable bathroom house for a private estate wedding (home plumbing is not meant for many wedding guests to use!)
3. Be sure you (at a minimum) have a wedding coordinator, if not a full wedding planner for a private estate wedding as there are so many details of planning to be aware of.
