Scenic views and a 2-hour cruise make Trish and Brad’s dreamy Lake Tahoe wedding one to remember. Their destination I do’s kicked off with a church ceremony, followed by a 2-hour cruise cocktail hour around scenic Lake Tahoe before making landfall at their stunning white and gold reception at the Edgewood.
One of the benefits of a smaller, destination wedding is you can really go all out on making your day special and one-of-a-kind. Trish and Brad did exactly that, and ended up with the wedding of their dreams! Read on about their romantic day below, and find a full gallery beautifully captured by Audrey Norman.
From Alluring Events + Design: There is something about an intimate wedding that seems magical, and more romantic. The inclusiveness brings a tight bond of love and support, and a smaller number of close family and friends allows you more opportunities to go all out and have the 'wedding of your dreams'. This particular wedding wasn't just a ‘wedding’, it was an experience, and the guests will never forget it.
After the ceremony, the guests boarded the Tahoe Paradise, a private yacht, which took them on a 2-hour cruise around the lake. On the cruise, the guests enjoyed champagne, appetizers, and breathtaking views. After the cruise, the guests arrived at Edgewood, a stunning venue right on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The reception also showcased floor to ceiling windows where guests watched the sunset right over the water. Their photos and video are a prime example of why sunset photos during golden hour are an absolute must!
The bride had a clear vision from the beginning. She wanted the day to be classic and timeless but still have a modern flare. White and gold were the main colors, with greenery accents and a hint of Amsale ice in the bridesmaid dresses and bridal bouquet ribbon. The bride, who travels for work, was often overseas and in different time zones. That never mattered though, she amazed me with her organization, attention to detail and personal style. She even did her own calligraphy work on all of the signage and paper items by hand! She was a wedding planner's dream, and one of the sweetest girls.
It is an amazing 'perk' when you get to work with a couple who are genuinely kind and so thoughtful. Having their adorable dog, Marshmallow, around on the wedding day was an added bonus as well, and a huge hit with the guests! The wedding will go down as one of my favorites and I know the guests, as well as the bride and groom, had the night of their lives.
