From the bride... Like most little girls, I’ve dreamed of my wedding day my whole life. Rob and I live in Newport Beach, California, but we both share a love for traveling and after getting engaged in Nantucket, Massachusetts, it only felt right to have a destination wedding somewhere special. After 6 months of deciding what city we should have the wedding in, Rob and I decided to have our wedding in Cabo San Lucas! We checked out multiple venues there and ultimately chose a spot that my husband holds dear to him. Rob has been visiting Chileno Bay ever since he was a baby and we have visited it so many times together, we both felt having our wedding there would be something truly special. It’s a place we will be able to spend time in every year and relive the best night of our lives. Planning our wedding details was the fun part! Marianna, our wedding designer did an amazing job bringing our dreams to life. They created the most magical ambiance we’ve ever seen. We let her know what was important to us, what our color scheme was, and how we want people to feel at our wedding and she built a beautiful venue from nothing. We really wanted our guests to be able to enjoy the charming beach that we love so much, so we had our ceremony down by the water with a lovely wooden platform and gorgeous wedding arch. The maracas were thanks to my mom and bridesmaids, we spent hours detailing them with copper and tying ribbons on them. Right when you walked down the steps to the ceremony, you were able to see the entire layout with the waves crashing in the background. The cocktail hour was a couple hundred feet up on the cliff that you could get to by either walking on the beach or taking the shuttle. There was fresh margaritas and palomas waiting for everyone once they arrived. Our escort cards were hand blown glass hearts that were hung on an elegant wooden wall that was intertwined with flowers. Our family and friends were able to take in the view and enjoy their libations while listening to the mariachi band. The reception was next to the cocktail hour and it had a breathtaking bamboo structures that really gave the atmosphere that extra something special we wanted. In the middle of the reception was the dance floor, and even that was beautiful! It was white wood and outlined with a blue and white mosaic print. The table arrangements were stunning and each piece fit together perfectly, even our last minute table numbers done by one of my bridesmaids looked like it was created months before. And our band, Kilometro was on the stage setting a very enjoyable mood all night. Chileno Bay Club did an amazing job catering our food. Each course was put together based on our favorite local cuisine. It was all so delicious and so was our vanilla and berry cake with berry filling made by Sweet Dreams. Towards the end of the night we surprised everyone with a wonderful firework display that was so much fun to watch. And our sparkler send off made for a memorable finale. We can’t rave enough about our save the dates, invitations, menus, and signage! My new sister in law owns Paper Plane Paperie, and she did an amazing job ceating everything I asked for - from our wedding logo to our water color menus, it was all perfect. Sara and Ramon did a fantastic job getting all the best shots, they look amazing. They captured the entire essence of the evening. We can’t stop looking and gushing over all the pictures of my husband and I, the party attendees, and all the details. They worked seamlessly with our videographer Jorge and that made our special day go that much smoother. The night felt like it was straight out of a fairytale! We couldn’t have done it without our planner Paola and day of coordinator Mary. We want to thank everyone who helped with our special day. It really is the best day of our entire lives and Rob and I are so happy our family and friends were able to be apart of our celebration in such a magnificent setting"

3. Any snippets of advice for future brides and grooms?
Stay together all night! It's really hard to stay next to each other all night, but it's so important to experience the whole day with your new spouse. We made sure to look for each other if we ever got seperated because of pictures or conversations, or bathroom breaks. It really is your special night and you want to make sure every memory from that night was spent together.
4. Did disaster strike?
Unfortunately with creating your own venue, you don't know how it's going to turn out until the day of... We planned to have our Ceremony set up in the shade on the beach, but the tide was so high that the workers weren't able to start in the morning and our guests had to be seated in the hot sun. We were worried about the heat, so fortunately we made our programs fan style, so tour guests were able to cool off a little by fanning themselves.
5. Budget breakdown?
