As soon as I walked into Malerie's (the bride's) suite, all I could sense was pure excitement and joy! Malerie has had a crush on Garrett since Junior High, and she was over the moon that she was finally marrying the love of her life. Malerie had DIYed her entire wedding. She works for a graphic printing company, and was able to make and design her own invitations, escort board ("roll call"), banners, and the "after party" and "unplugged wedding" flashcards. The wedding took place at Twin Oaks Garden & Estate in San Marcos, California. The venue is a beautiful old school house, and was the perfect setting for this school themed wedding. I absolutely loved that Malerie wanted to add unique and fun details to her wedding. The vintage vanity at the entrance of the venue had a floral guestbook and the coolest 90s toy... a view master! The view master really made it feel like you were back in Junior High. Malerie wore a gorgeous Mara Hoffman long sleeved, cut-out, beaded gown that was perfect for her December, bohemian wedding. Little details were sprinkled throughout, like the groom's floral tie, and the groomsman's floral pocket squares. The bouquets were all made by the groom's aunt, Stacey of Stacey's Petals and Stems, and Malerie's bouquet had a beautiful handmade macrame hanging. The night was so romantic, and the couple was radiant.
