The planning process began with selecting the party venue, an intimate marina-front cottage at Tween Waters Inn Island Resort, just large enough to hold 50 guests. As southwest Florida residents, my parents have celebrated many anniversaries over the years at this resort, so the venue seemed perfect.
We selected a tri-fold invitation design which allowed us to display a series of black and white photos including original wedding photos, along with recent snapshots of my parents. A metallic silver envelope and a custom wedding photo stamp completed the look of the invitation before mailing.
As guests arrived, they enjoyed a cocktail hour before the vow renewal ceremony began. Led by one of their closest friends, the ceremony was a perfect reflection of my parents' love story and their continued commitment to one another. Although it was kept light-hearted, there was not a dry in the house by the end.
Look closely, most of the wedding party came to the 25 year anniversary party as well. I love this photo and wish that every wedding party could be reproduced 25 years later.
The centerpieces included varying types of eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, off-white garden roses, ranunculus and spray roses. The statement piece of the room was an oversized wall hanging that was hand-lettered with a verse from my parents’ wedding song. This piece hung above a fireplace that my dad updated with a gray wood faced.
My mom is known for her sweet tooth, so we knew that some sort of edible favor was a must. We turned to local chocolatier Norman Love Confections to create custom 2-piece chocolate favor boxes that were placed at each guest's seat. The favor boxes included one White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle (my dad’s favorite) and one Sea Salt Caramel (my mom’s favorite).
Accent tables draped elegantly with dove gray velvet linens flanked either side of the fireplace. On one table, we displayed a DIY photo montage board with black and white square photos from my parents’ wedding day.
On the other side of the fireplace, we displayed a simple white coconut cake sourced from my parents’ favorite restaurant, The Bubble Room. The cake was accented with a hand lettered cake topper, black and white easel art photos, votive candles and a laser cut “25” that hung above the table.
To further personalize the space, we created a simple photo garland that was strung along one of the blank walls. To maintain a cohesive look, all photos were printed in black and white and sized to a square 5” x 5” size.
The other walls included a trio of framed photos and a balloon hoop accented with fresh greenery.
One Stylish Party also happens to sell DIY garland kits that are over the top adorable and she was so awesome to share with us exactly how to make this ballon hoop art accent piece for your next event.

the wedding ceremony
The vow renewal ceremony was led by one of their closest friends. It was a perfect reflection of my parents' love story and their continued commitment to one another. Although it was kept light-hearted, there was not a dry in the house by the end. Immediately following the ceremony, my parents shared a first dance to the song “Everything” by Michael Bublé, which was a fun way to kick off the rest of the party.
Throughout the evening, there was plenty of laughter, lots of dancing and most of most of all, there was love. I could not imagine a more memorable way for my parents’ to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with family and friends that mean so much to them.
What a wonderful life Sharon and Peter have made for themselves. You can clearly see that love overflowed at this 25th wedding anniversary party.
We were so happy to collaborate with One Stylish Party to showcase the love that they share with each other. Congratulations Sharon and Peter. To see more details up close check out the gallery here.
