Krystle and Dwight’s shared passion for the great outdoors brought them together forever and no adventure-filled wedding would be complete without a stunning location! The gorgeous snow-capped mountains of Quarry Lake Park in Canmore, Alberta made a picture-perfect backdrop for their heartfelt "I dos" in the great outdoors.
Rustic details, twinkle lights and fresh florals added to the romantic ambiance of their reception. See it all for yourself below, and be sure to grab a closer look at the entire day in the full gallery here, beautifully captured by Kim Payant Photography.
Dwight and Krystle were headed to catch a plane to Vegas the morning of June 19th, when Dwight decided he should pop the question. The two had been doing some construction at their farm and had recently dug a pond in front of where they planned to build their dream home one day. Dwight convinced Krystle that he had found a natural spring at the bottom of the empty pond, and she was curious. So down into the bottom of the empty pond they went and it was there Dwight proposed. His reasoning is that, "one day we will be able to tell the kids that at the bottom of the pond is where Daddy asked Mommy to be his wife."
Dwight and Krystle share a love of the great outdoors, so it was fitting for them to have an outdoor mountain wedding ceremony. Quarry Lake Park in Canmore was the perfect place and the two booked their vendors for an October wedding. The big day was warm thankfully, as it had snowed the day before, but the snow capped mountains created a beautiful backdrop for pictures.
The wedding theme was a mix of Rustic and Vintage Glam, which matched the barn wood interior of the Cornerstone Theatre nicely. Krystle loves the color teal, so little pops of teal were added to the rose gold, white and blush elements. We were so happy to share our special day with our family and friends. Our vendors were awesome, each and everyone of them went over and above to help make everything perfect!
