Sometimes a wedding just hits us over the head with so many "Yes"s that words truly fail when we attempt to tell others about it; we can only describe this wedding as beautifully badass! For starters the brides simple and stunning spaghetti strap gown is fabulous in its own right, but adding a set of bolero chains on top of it put our jaws on the floor. Add in a sweet candid moment with the wedding dog, a DIY-ed ceremony arch created by the groom and some of the prettiest cocktails we have seen this wedding is off the charts amazing!

From Kiel Rucker Photography: One of the greatest moments of the day was when Rosco (the bride and groom's fur-baby) couldn't understand why he wasn't in a photo with the bride and her flower girls. Right as I was about to click the shutter button, Rosco walks right up to Lizzie and gives her a massive puppy kiss that instantly made every one start laughing hysterically - and I got the whole sequence leading up to it and after. Such a fun a moment.
I first met Lizzie and Austin while photographing her sister's wedding in Napa, and the next time I met with them is was in Joshua Tree for their engagement session. And by the time I had finished photographing their wedding in Sonora, CA our paths had crossed in three of the most beautiful natural spaces across thousands of California miles - which is kinda' neat
Their wedding took place at the home where Lizzie grew up with her two sisters in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. There weren't many external vendors for this wedding - Lizzie's mom was came up with and created the floral design, the groom built their custom wedding arch adorned with a huge rack of antlers and local foliage, a friend of theirs lent them an immaculate vintage Cadillac to transport the groomsmen and Lizzie's father found and brought in cases of their favorite DaVero wine - from a small, biodiverse family farm specializing in small lots of exceptional Italian wines.
