Okay the secret is out, we don't attend all the weddings we feature on our website... sorry guys. But when we see all of the photos, getting a sense of the day is important to us, whether that is the couple, the venue, the theme or in Katherine and Beaux's case the pure joy and love that could hardly be contained within the images taken by The Cotton Collective.
Seriously we cannot get enough of how happy and alive these two were on their big day and every single frame shows this off beautifully, check out the full gallery to see what we mean. Congratulation Katherine and Beaux, we wish you all the best and all we ask is that you keep spreading your giddy and glowy love around.
From the Bride: Our main goal for our wedding was to have a beautiful garden wedding where our personalities shone through and be one our guests would never forget. Not wanting a typical country club wedding, we chose The Gallery to be the setting of the beginning of our story together. The Gallery is a French Mediterranean- style venue located in the heart of Houston. The indoor/ outdoor venue is full of old-world charm that keeps you connected with the surrounding nature.
Lindsay with Lean on Me Events and Shelley with The Perfect Touch transformed The Gallery into our romantic garden fairy tale! Filled with lush greenery, winding vines and fall blooms, everything looked like it grew straight from the cracks in the brick and Mediterranean tiles.
Surrounded by the sweetest families and friends, we became husband and wife in a church that my dad’s architecture firm actually designed. Being able to say I do in a church that I have admired since I was a little girl is a feeling I will never forget. Walking down the aisle was something out of a dream where I could only see my groom waiting for me at the end. I don’t think I have ever smiled as hard as I did at that moment.
Something that meant the world to me was receiving my wedding band. Beaux took my sweet dearly departed grandmother’s wedding ring and designed my band with her diamonds, it was amazing to have a piece of her with me that day and every day after.
Everything with the wedding was perfectly us from the farm to table smoke wood appetizers to our decision of forgoing the traditional groom's cake to have Torchy’s Tacos as a late-night snack. Beaux and I paid attention to every detail of the wedding adding our personal touches anywhere we could. Most personal décor was even built by Beaux himself, anything I dreamed up he could pull off. The largest piece being a functional taco cart for our “Midnight Mitcham Tacos”!
The Royal Dukes filled our dance floor for the entire night with their amazing energy and talent, getting the biggest wallflower out there. Right before our last dance with our guests we gathered our family and closest friends to send off wish lanterns for good fortune in our marriage.
