From the Bride: A few minutes before the ceremony, my soon to be husband and I took a moment to ourselves to pray together. We did this by standing on opposite sides of the door, holding hands. It was extremely important to us that we shared this moment together.
The ceremony took place outside with the most incredible scenery I could ever imagine. The outside "alter" had doors that opened up so the view behind us was perfectly fall colored leaves. We wrote our own vows and they were certainly tear jerkers!
Disaster did not strike, not even close! The only little thing that happened was our pastor dropped our rings! Everyone was laughing and it added some more fun to the ceremony.
Here’s a few pieces of advice we would pass along to future bride and grooms is; truly be present on your wedding day and enjoy yourselves, if you can - take some time to walk around and say hello to your guests even if it’s just a simple hello thanks for coming. Our guests were so appreciative and really thanked us for that. Lastly, only you know if something you planned didn’t go off correctly or wasn’t as perfect as you thought it would be, so don’t sweat the small stuff!
As far as budget, our total wedding cost around $25,000. The main focuses of our budget were our venue, our photographer and our videographer. Our venue included the food and alcohol as well, so that was about 60% of the budget. The rest included the photographer, videographer, flowers, hair/make up, decor and other miscellaneous things.
