Sometimes the best love stories take awhile to play out. Case in point our next wedding. Renske waited five years for her boyfriend to pop the question, when he finally did she knew exactly how their love story would play out. Their day would ooze antiques, old books and have a muted pastel theme with a "vintage love story them."
As you will soon see the entire day was planned to perfection, overflowing with thoughtful details and hand-made touches. You must see more of this vintage pink and white wedding in the full gallery here. All beautifully captured by Louise Vorster Photography at the The Hertford in South Africa.
From The Bride:From the hearts in the chapel to the details for the groom and his groomsmen. Fraai Meraai made the most beautiful rosette for the groom and his guys, as well as customized T-Shirts for me and the girls.
I loved all the do-it-yourself wedding projects, it made the whole day so much more special knowing everything was made with love. Most of the decor and details were made by myself and my sister-in-law. We worked more than 7 months to have this magical decor and details.
For the wedding invites, we went to ALL the second hand bookshops in and around Pretoria to buy selected books, each guest got a book specially selected for them. My bouquet was a combination of a protea and paper flowers. The bridesmaids also got paper flowers and we added some paper flowers on the tables as well. We also punched storybook hearts for the confetti.
When I look back at the day… It was truly just like a love story you will read about in storybooks. Every aspect of the day was so magical and beautiful. So blessed withe every tear, every smile and every moment! What a magical memorable day!
