Kyle and Mark are the kind of couple love stories are written about - warm, funny, stylish, and completely adoring of one another. Their wedding was held at the Royal Palms Resort nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, and was full of personal touches giving it an intimate, boutique look and feel for this vintage inspired wedding. The menu was created and designed by Victoria Canada Weddings and Events using a chalk board and handmade flowers from the pages of vintage books.
An incredible amount of special thought and attention to detail went into this wedding. The Bride and her Family are from Wisconsin and love to spend time here in Arizona. Kyle graduated from Arizona State University and looked at her wedding as a way of welcoming guests to Arizona and her love of the Southwest. The Royal Palms was a perfect location for her. It is a mansion built at the turn of the century at the base of Camelback Mountain. We rented out the two small boutique ballrooms and used the large lawn for their ceremony.
One of our favorite details was the old typewriter that held love notes from the bride and groom to each other - to tie in the typewriter, the couple even managed to find cuff links for Mark made of vintage typewriter keys. It was perfect!
Another special touch was Kyle and Mark's cake with their wedding vows written in icing on the top - it was a special moment to see them read their words to each other before cutting into the delicious cake.
There were four celebration areas within the one venue – outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour on the patio, a ballroom reception, and an additional room for the after party with a lounge, cake and dancing to live music. It was a magical night!
