Vintage Anthropologie Wedding with DIY Flair

Los Angeles skyline with wedding rings: a romantic welcome

Allison wanted a vintage/anthropologie theme, which she knew is super popular, however she wanted to put her own little spin on the theme. Do not fret, she gives complete insight on the entire day. With a little help from her friends and some serious style - this wedding is surely to inspire. To see the entire wedding that was captured by onelove photography and read more from the bride. From Allison on the ceremony site:
The curtain panels was something I wanted to do instead of an arch, which is very pricey. I purchased 27 yds of fabric (3 monochromatic tones of natural) from the Los Angeles downtown area and designed panels to create a neutral classic look for both sides of the gate. It provided two purposes; to mask the reception, and to create a ceremonial focal point. Gretchen Durgan with Flower Power LA only added to it's design by suspending my little vintage bottles filled with flowers with jute twine.

Allison collected old photos and documents from both sides of the family and thought they would look awesome displayed on ripped dropcloth garlands that were made by visual merchadiser, Patrick Michael Masterso. The ripped dropcloth was originally hung in the window of Urban Outfitters, which I run by all the time and is how I came up with the idea. Patrick donated them to me for free and used the wooden clothespins and shipping tags to finish off my design and break the trend of hanging photos just on a clothesline.

In order to make these do-it-yourself table numbers Allison removed the glass and spray painted them with chalkboard paint and hand wrote each number with chalkboard marker. A steal worthy idea that we are sure you are going to take note of.

You might notice a fantastic bird garland in many of the photos, a $30 decoration that took forever to make and required the assistance of Allison and her friends. There are more close up views of this spectacular diy project in the full gallery. Amazing the things you can do with paper.
