Abby and Adam met through a dating app. Funnily enough, they quickly found out they had mutual friends who were planning to set them up anyway. They fell in love quickly, and Adam knew he wanted to take the time to plan the perfect proposal. He brought Abby to a park next to Lake Michigan, where he had an ice cream truck with a violinist inside waiting. The ice cream truck had significant memories of their relationship written down as the “flavors,” and Adam had even taken the time to fly in ice cream from the ice cream shop in Wisconsin where the couple had their first date. After Abby said yes, the violinist serenaded them with some of their favorite songs while they enjoyed their ice cream, and then they walked to a nearby field where their family and loved ones were waiting to celebrate with them.
Abby and Adam’s intimate tented celebration was a cherished experience for everyone present. The pair decided to forego the traditional wedding and planned an intimate event with only their immediate family. Since they went small on the guest list, they could go lavish with the details. Abby and Adam kicked off their tented wedding celebration with a champagne tower, meaningful toasts, and an eight-course meal. The large square table was filled with vibrant pink and yellow blooms and featured a chic suspended dried lunaria installation. Each of the 11 guests received a personalized gift, with Abby and Adam sitting together and presenting each one to thank them for being a part of their story.

"Make a short list of mutually agreed upon non-negotiables and refer back to those if/when hard decisions come up. The rest is just "extra," and it's best not to get too caught up in every detail so that you can enjoy the process along the way."
