Michele and Eric first crossed paths on the school bus at the young age of ten. From there, a friendship was formed, and it wasn't until they were both back in their hometown from college did they fall in love. Eight years later, after living together and traveling the world, Eric proposed to Michele.
He got down on one knee and held a custom-engagement ring made with a diamond from Michele's Grandmother. Now, here we are today to take in their luxe Palm Springs wedding at Bougainvillea Estates.
• The floral backdrop
• Seating Chart (tiny bottles of tequila were used)
• The fry station
• Black and white table decor ideas with splashes of rose gold
• Unique wedding games
• The cocktail bar
• The black wedding cake
The day was coordinated and designed by Details Darling, insanely beautiful florals by Arrangements Floral and Party Design and photographed by Morgan Hydinger. Keep scrolling to take in all in. View even more images in the full gallery, and view their budget breakdown.
For the last 8 years, it’s not JUST Michele.. or JUST Eric, it’s always “Michele & Eric”. But if you take a step back, and look at each of us as individuals, you'll see we are more different than we are similar.
We wanted to bring out our own individual personalities throughout our day!
From Eric's love for golf to Michele's obsession with French Fries, the wedding day experience was a peek into our world..both as individuals and as a couple.
We chose the Bougainvillea Estate for its beautiful grounds and ability to have an exclusive private location for our guests only.
The weekend consisted of 3 events:
1. Welcome Drinks on the Terrace
2. The Big Day on the front lawn
3 .and a day after "Recovery" party by the pool.
The desert is a special place for us and we wanted to share what a weekend in the desert means for us - The only place where you leave feeling relaxed and tired at the same time, a little sunburnt, and just, well… happy.
So we encouraged our guests to: find a babysitter for the weekend, turn on their “out of office”, and stock up on some sunscreen.
Every aspect of the wedding was curated with the help of our wedding planner Details, Darling with one vision in mind: details so specific to "Michele and Eric", no couple could replace us as the bride and groom. As a nod to our Filipino culture, we had custom cocktails that included "calamansi" juice from shipped straight from the Philippines and a seating chart with individual mini bottles of our favorite tequila, Casamigos.
Every song on the Cocktail reception playlist was hand selected and songs were customized by the acoustic band to represent lyrics most relevant to us.
There was a french fry station by Miho Catering with personalized M+E cups and a mini golf set up with drinking rules.
All of the wedding signage by Double Dipped Calligraphy reflected the couple's personality - even the bars had some of their favorite sayings displayed on the front - Sips about to go down.
The reception decor from Signature Rentals and Arrangements Design was elegant and classic with twinkle lights shining so romantically overhead.
Every detail of the table setting and experience was hand selected: from the fork to the fonts on the menu.
Although it was a formal setting, we chose to serve food "family style" to reflect our love for bringing people together.
Please note that prices do change, and this budget breakdown gives you an idea of how much a wedding like this might cost you.
