These days, everything happens so quickly and changes in an instant. But, one of the (many) things we love about weddings is the focus on traditions. Traditions bring generations together and by sharing those special moments with your spouse and their family, you create memories that last a lifetime. This Beverly Hills celebration was more than just a wedding, it also marked the bride's conversion to Judaism and all of the traditions that come with that. You can see the joy on everyone's face as the bride and her husband celebrate these important milestones together. It's Beverly Hills, so you gotta go big, and Aliana Events really brought it with this wedding design. Butterfly Floral had carte blanche to get a little extra with these florals, and with a phalaenopsis orchid at each setting, we'd say they went all out. Dmitry Shumanev took these gorgeous photos that look like they're straight out of a fairy tale...and maybe they are because they're definitely going to live happily ever after. Anna and Eddie's wedding took place at a hotel in Beverly Hills. The traditional Jewish ceremony meant not only marriage but also the bride's conversion to Judaism. This was a double celebration for the couple and guests. Therefore, the bride was showered with white petals. An amazing flower arch was built for the chuppah. The bride wanted the aisle leading to the arch to be decorated with tall chandeliers. They were lit in the evening along with candles, which created a special romantic ambiance.
In Jewish tradition, the future husband personally covers the bride with a special veil. At the end of the ceremony, the rabbi wrapped a glass in a napkin and hands it to the groom. Then, putting it on the ground, the groom stomps on the glass with all his might. The broken glass symbolizes the finality of the decision made, that after pronouncing the oath, there was no turning back. After that, all the guests shouted joyful Mazal Tov!
After the wedding ceremony came the actual party. The guests ate treats and drank drinks, and the bride and groom danced with all their friends and family. Then, during the traditional Hora dance, the guests lifted the bride and groom on chairs above their heads. The mood was clean and classy, with a touch of glam. The guest tables featured white and ivory florals in mixed glass vessels, highlighted by heavy candlelight and topped with a phalaenopsis orchid at each setting. Grand candelabras and crystal candles stood to help create a romantic flicker throughout the ballroom lasting all evening. Anna and Eddie are an incredibly loving couple. They glow when they look at each other. We were happy to make this day so special and touching for them.
