A timeless tented garden wedding at a historic museum
Just because you want a timeless wedding, doesn't mean it can't be unique. It's all about picking and choosing which elements to play more traditional and where to venture out. Take this lovely garden wedding. The historic museum garden venue is and always will be beautiful, but like this wedding, it's unique in its own right. They chose a classic sage, ivory, and tan color palette for everything, including their florals. So, instead of making a statement with color, their planner used texture and styling to set their wedding apart. a magical garden venue
In the tranquil embrace of Winterthur's expansive gardens, Hailey and Paul's vision for the perfect garden party wedding came to life, orchestrated with the expert touch of Kyle Michelle Weddings. Known for their meticulous planning and elegant design, they transformed the natural landscape into a romantic, storybook setting. The serene gardens and majestic backdrops were captured exquisitely by our talented associate shooter, Sarah, who has a flair for seizing heartfelt moments and the subtle grandeur of nature-infused settings. The private, lush settings of the Winterthur Museum offered an intimate backdrop for Hailey and Paul’s first moments together on their special day.
the invitations
Guests got a sneak peek of the beauty to come when they opened this dreamy watercolor invitation suite featuring a painting of the venue. Not only does it set the tone for the wedding, a painting of your venue makes the perfect keepsake from your big day.
timeless fashion
Hailey's elegant choice of a simple yet sophisticated gown mirrored the natural beauty surrounding her, complemented by her neatly styled low bun and pearl earrings—a nod to timeless bridal elegance. Paul, in his sharp navy tuxedo, stood beside her, epitomizing classic style. Together, they looked as though they had walked straight out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, embodying the classic romance and style of a bygone era.
the flowers
Underneath the ancient boughs and amidst the verdant lushness provided by Fresh Designs Florist, the couple exchanged vows. The aisle, adorned with a soft palette of green and white florals, seemed a natural extension of the garden floor. Sarah captured every smile, tear, and tender exchange, preserving the purity and joy of their union against the historic elegance of Winterthur Museum.
a tented reception
As the celebration unfolded, the garden party theme truly came into its own under the expansive canopy of a grand sailcloth tent on the museum grounds. The reception area was transformed into an enchanted garden. Towering trees and sweeping greenery climbed along the tent poles, mingling with ethereal white floral arrangements that seemed to sprout organically from the earth.
a unique escort display
The seating chart appeared as if a garden itself had taken root on the table. Surrounded by an abundance of white florals and greenery, elegantly displayed place cards invited guests to their seats, not merely directing them, but drawing them into the magic of the evening. This creative display was not only functional but a significant element of décor, enhancing the luxurious atmosphere and blending the allure of nature with the sophistication of a modern celebration.
the cake
In keeping with the timeless theme, they opted for an elegant four-tiered wedding cake with minimalist buttercream flower decorations.
