Jon and Michelle's thrifted yellow and navy wedding. With all the charm and comfort of a summer backyard barbecue this lovely day is a great example of how to entertain your guests without spending a ton. FromĀ Jody Savage Photography: Jon and Michelle put together a heartfelt, joyous celebration using mostly thrifted finds from Michelle's place of work Arc's Value Village. She is a personal shopper there and local celebrity for her amazing talent at finding super thrifted pieces and her amazing style. They had a wonderful backyard celebration with games, food trucks, and even face painting for the kids that ended with a s'mores and a bonfire.
What's better then a laid back barbecue? Jon and Michelle decided to capture that quintessential feeling on their big day with rustic mason jar centerpieces and plenty of burlap and checkered cloth accents. One steal worthy and affordable idea is their wine cart. Complete with a galvanized steel bucket to chill bottles, glasses, a place for corks and not to mention some napkins in their color palette.
Backyard Barbecue Wedding Games:
Are you looking for a fun way to entertain your guests at your reception that wont cost a whole lot? Check out these fabulous backyard games that Jon and Michelle provided their guests. Not only did every table have a pack of aptly named playing cards, but they also had giant Jenga, corn hole, and even a face painting station for the kids!
Cake is great, but cupcakes and cake are just fantastic! We love the trend of having a smaller wedding cake and then several different cupcake options. Plus S'mores for later, Bonus!
