This wedding proves roses and golf clubs will never go out of style. Kristy and Charles' beautiful, classic wedding took place at Champions Retreat Golf Club just outside of Augusta, Georgia last fall. This couple has mastered the art of beauty mixed with fun. The day started with a lovely first look halfway across the fairway and ended with the dance party of a lifetime.
We're particularly in love with the copper accents found all throughout their reception that pop out from the blush and champagne color scheme. Moscow mule mugs were even used for vases, too cute! Words from Dana Cubbage Weddings: I absolutely ADORE Kristy and Charles and I had been looking forward to their wedding for a long, long time. They both greeted me with huge hugs and their excitement about everything was so energizing. They said "yes" to every wild idea I had and they were just so trusting of me and my vision. It was an absolutely AMAZING day from start to finish and it was honestly the BEST way to kick off the fall wedding season! Their day started with a sweet First Look under a small grove of trees on the golf course. I'm pretty sure they thought I was crazy for trekking across the fairway to get to this spot, but I'd say it was totally worth it! The dance floor was packed all night and I'm fairly certain that Kristy never left it! At the end of the night, Kristy and Charles exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped on a golf cart. It was an amazing end to an amazing day.
Words from the bride: Our day was absolutely perfect and we are so excited to have other people see that through our beautiful pictures by Dana Cubbage. The vision I had was a rustic elegance. My advice for future brides and grooms would be to enjoy yourself! Your wedding day only happens once in a lifetime and the most important part is that you celebrate your special day with your husband (or bride) and your closest family and friends surrounding you! Charles and I danced the night away and had the BEST time ever. It was better than we could have ever imagined. Our wedding started at our beautiful church, St. Teresa's, and our reception was at Champions Retreat Golf Club in their new elegant barn right on the golf course.
Ohhh the wedding budget. I think that the most important thing that you do if you have a budget that you want to stay within is to make a priority list! What is the most important to you on your wedding day? Is it the photographer, the flowers, the open bar, your dress, etc.? Where do you want the "bulk" of the money to go? What can you do to make other things less expensive? Having a list and knowing what you are working with helped us so much! I hope this helps you! A little bit about my husband Charles and myself...We are a super fun-loving couple that absolutely adore our family and friends! We love a good party and we definitely love to dance the night away, and we did just that on our wedding night!
Our verdict? Golf clubs make great wedding venues.
